Item for February
I am thinking about seeing what kind of deal I can get on powdered eggs and granola for our items in February. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in and how many you would like to get. I found a good place to get the egg and the more we order the cheaper it is. I would love to hear from you! Also, don't forget to let me know if you would like to order freeze-dried blueberries or reusable handwarmers this month. I need everyone's order and money by January 18th. Thanks!
New Years Goals/Resolutions
I am just curious about whether or not anyone has made any goals about their food storage. I would love to hear them and know if there is any way I can help out!

Case Lot Sales!
There are several case lot sales starting tomorrow! Maceys and Smiths and lots of other stores. I know Maceys will also have emergency preparedness items on sale too. This is a great time to get your water barrels cheap! Let me know if you are going to need my drink water hose to fill them.
Wonder Box
I just found this really fun crafty idea! This wonder box will cook your food for you after you just bring it to a boil! It works alot like a crock pot but it doesn't use any electricity so it is a great emergency item. Here is the like for the instructions and ideas.

Powdered Milk Recipe
During the holiday season I decided to test out a few new ways to use my powdered milk. The one that I was most excited about was the sweetened condensed milk. I needed some for some cookies I was making and this recipe worked wonderful!
1/2 cup hot water
1 c. non-instant dry powdered milk (the kind from the cannery works great!)
1 c. sugar
1 T. butter
Combine all ingredients and then put them in a blender. Mix really well. Use immediately or store in refrigerator or freezer. Enjoy!
