I want to know what you have to do to get your big blue water barrels safely filled up. I have a siphon, but do you have to have a special wrench or tool for the white screw caps? Do you have to do anything besides just put them on some 2x4s right on top of the cement in the garage? Is it a requirement to fill them with a drinking water only hose, or is that just a nice idea?
ReplyDeleteI want written instructions for all the things that were at the emergency preparedness fair. I did pick up all the papers in the middle, so I may have them already...
ReplyDeleteI would like some information posted on how to store items in buckets, as well as what can be stored in buckets and what needs to be in number 10 cans. I know most of this, but it would be nice to have it somewhere to refer to.
ReplyDeleteI would love recipes or easy dinners you can make with your food storage. Also, maybe a list of items you would need to have in your food storage to make these dinners. If my family had to live off of our food storage we'd get pretty tired of eating canned fruits and veges:)
ReplyDeleteOh sure...the HatchBatch totally took my desire. I too would like some recipes. I would also like to hear some feedback about how some of the items worked that we are able to purchase (the canned butter, the canned chicken, etc). It would help me decide what I really wanted to try or purchase.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of this Kristy, it sure is helpful. I would like information that has to do with sales, including case lot sales, and also any more tips that you can find that have to do with bottling and canning things that we might not think of. And also "from scratch" recipes that we might need to learn how to do if we can't get to the store to buy the mix. And maybe like a community spot so that if someone has plant starts or flower starts for something and doesn't know who needs them we could find out who's giving and who needs. Anyway, I know most of those you are already doing. I just hope you know how much it's appreciated!
